I need a female weight loss buddy....support help!
by scootergirl inokay......first of the year.......goals to be made and achieve (hopefully).. one of my goals is to drop a few pounds and firm a few places.
i know better than to get any support from my husband ("oh, you look fine, honey")....so i was wondering if there is anybody (preferrably female) on the board that would be interested in supporting me/and me supporting them (weight loss goal).
i have read of a few females that are trying to lose a few extra......so i am pretty sure i am not alone.. i am trying to focus on eating more healthy and cutting down on snacks.

by SheilaM injust wanted you all to know i have finally got my hubby to visit the forum.
he will be posting also (he is a man of few words so he may be a newbie forever lol) .
we of course have the same ip address in case you noticed that, just didn't want you to think i had a personality disorder lol you will find we differ on everything but that is what makes for good conversation after almost 19 years lol.

I must say that I am troubled by those of you who have likened the JW's to the borg. The collective is nothing like the organization. The borg assimilate and improve themselves as a whole. There is no upper eschelon that manipulate and decieve the masses. I bet you'd be hard pressed to find a pedophile or megalomaniac in the entire collective. The dubs are infected and unlike the Borg, who when they sense an infection and disengage from the affected, the dubs duck and cover, gloss it over and lie straight to your face. I know. I was there. I was one who had to know the "truth". I was told to keep my mouth shut. I am free now and living as an individual for the first time in my life. Besides. I would alot rather wear that cool latex rubber stuff the borg wear, than carry a book bag and wear a tie!

One: I have been married almost 19 years ....UNLESS it is 3:00AM and you don't know where your teenager YOU ARE UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO ANSWER THE PHONE
Two: After nine years HELLLLLLO does he have the nerve or what, myself I would call and ask them some questions like What is my middle name? What day was my baby born? LOL When you get done putting him on the hot seat, I would tell him that he does not have the fruits of the spirit and you really don't want to speak to such a godless creature
Three: If they indicate a shepherding call is in order buy a large VERY LARGE dog and keep it by the door with a sign that says something akin to "BEWARE OF JW EATING DOG"
Really I would ignore the phone call pretend they never called kiss and hug that wife and baby and thank god your not in the cult anymore!!!!

I don't think its so much "religion" per say that drives us to drink. Rather the interpretations that get crammed down our thoats. If we would all just live by the motto, "right is right" we'd all be much better off. The JW's have the right idea on its most basic level. Trouble is that in an effort to segregate themselves from the rest of the world they have twisted scripture to fit their needs. All I ever wanted was to know the truth. My inquiries got me reproved and marked. I was told to accept and not question. That's not my style. They can't df me cause I got some dirt on them, so yeah that religion drove me nuts!
